The One Where True Love Died in ’96

If you follow me on Instagram or on then you’ve heard by now how much I LOVE my henna dipped hands. That’s what I’m calling it. It needs a cool name. I’ve gotten really mixed reactions on it though. It’s one of those “you either love it or hate it type things.” Perhaps the funniest comment is that it looks like I have gangrene. Made me laugh! Everyone is entitled to their opinion on it. Freedom of artistic expression I always say! What do you guys think? Would it be something you’d be willing to try out? YOLO and all that jazz!

I wore this outfit to my friend Zoe’s graduation, so I shout out is most definitely necessary: CONGRATULATIONS BEAUTIFUL GRADUATE!

P.S: I didn’t wear these heels. They look funny in the photos. I ended up in flats because I’m a lazy bum who can’t be bothered to be fancy.

The Post on Ink Stains vs. Henna

I saw this last year on Jak & Jil. The lady in the first two photos is Michèle Lamy, Rick Owen’s wife & muse. I love the idea of ink stained fingers. It reminds me so much of the older style henna you sometimes see on older women in Kuwait. If you’re Arab you’ve probably already made the connection, but if not, the photos below are what I’m talking about. I love this look. I’m going to find some skin-safe ink and do it. Why not? It’s not a commitment, as it fades, and I’ll look relatively badass for a while. What do you guys think?

The One with Secret Gardens & Twenty/Ten

This post is chock full o’pictures because honestly, 1) I have a new lens that makes me love every photo I take and 2) because this shirt is one of my designs for Twenty/Ten by AKF and it’s one of my absolute favorites. Leather-ness? Check. Fringe? Check. Paint splatter? Check. THOSE ARE ALL MY FAVORITE THINGS YA’LL! One day I’ll show you my bedroom. Paint splattered. I ‘Pollocked” a wall. That’s not a word, but if you’re into art then it makes sense. That is all.
