The One with a Woman in Black

I sincerely hope that my very bad skin doesn’t show in this post…I’m not one for editing (what can I say…I’m just raw and exposed that way. Hah.) but my skin is currently going through what I like to call “The Phase of Doom.” Has a ring to it, no?

I have a very bad skin allergy. To what, you ask? I have no idea. Certain make-up, face wash, moisturiser etc just sets it off and it puffs up, makes it lizard-like, and generally makes it very uncomfortable. I hide away at home for a minimum of three days before it clears. Does this happen to any of you?

Because of my hypersensitivity to face products, I stick to using Lush products on my face: Mask of Magnaminty as an exfoliator, a couple of their moisturisers  Tea Tree Spray (for those stubborn bumps), and their Dark Yellow foundation because yes…even foundation is a problem. Which is what landed me in this predicament in the first place. I allowed a makeup artist to use her own kit foundation the day we shot the “Won’t Let You Go” cancer awareness campaign commercial. The whole day my skin burned and hated me.

So…long winded explanation done. The short of it: I hope you can’t see how much my skin hates me in these photos.IMG_7366IMG_7361IMG_7350IMG_7335IMG_7324
