The One with Flowers for Gloomy Weather

I’m not sure about y’all, but I’m big on having flowers everywhere.

I grew up with a garden my whole life and I’m used to having lots of greenery around me. So when the weather is gloomy, I like to load up on flowers.

And I load up on them for no reason.

Literally, I don’t need an occasion. I like them on my desk at work or around the house.

So yesterdays rainy, angry, windy weather sent me straight to where I usually get my flowers and my gifts wrapped:

So being a good blogger, I decided to give you a taste of my outfit along with some pretty scenery because I couldn’t find any nice scenery for outfit photos elsewhere.

Besides, has one of those shops you want to just stay in forever, so you can bask in the flowery-flowerness that is the shop.

Just chillin’ with Richard. He’s helping me pick the colors to my bouquets!

Such a ham, Ascia…such a ham.

Just chillin’ with my wrapped gifts. MOM, YOU BETTER LIKE THE PRESENTS I GOT YOU, K?! Okay.

Big Christmas tree in the background, little snow-touched Christmas tree in my hands!

The One with the Velvet Bisht from District

Yesterday I stopped off in an expo for District, a clothing line by four women who have a great eye for both design and fashion. They were set to be in Gallery Two.Twenty for two days, and I HAD to make sure I got there before all the gorgeous bisht’s were sold.
For my foreign readers, a bisht is a traditional Arab type of jacket. They have traditionally been worn by men for special occasions with gold embroidery. Women are also offered their own take on the bisht, and District has come up with a velvet style that screams luxury.
If you’re in Kuwait, their expo is December 4th and 5th at Gallery Two.Twenty, Salhiya from 10am to 10pm.
I HIGHLY recommend stopping in!

I liked how dressed down this woman wore hers. Very boho chic. I will PROBABLLLLLLYYYY steal this outfit idea (I warned you all, okay?)

I got this one! BEAUTIFUL!

After the expo, it was time for my husband and I to go out for dinner to celebrate one month of marriage.
I know, I know.
It’s cheesy.
We did it anyway!
And it gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my bisht a little dressed up.
I know, I know.
“But Ascia you just bought it! You couldn’t wait a day to wear it?!”
No, my friends. No.
I’m impatient.
I wore it an hour later.
They were lucky I didn’t walk out of their shop with it on!

Such a badass.
