The One with the Bleach

After yesterday’s dinner at Missoni, I stopped off downstairs at their colorful hotel for a quick photo op! Because why not?

The One with the Velvet Bisht from District

Yesterday I stopped off in an expo for District, a clothing line by four women who have a great eye for both design and fashion. They were set to be in Gallery Two.Twenty for two days, and I HAD to make sure I got there before all the gorgeous bisht’s were sold.
For my foreign readers, a bisht is a traditional Arab type of jacket. They have traditionally been worn by men for special occasions with gold embroidery. Women are also offered their own take on the bisht, and District has come up with a velvet style that screams luxury.
If you’re in Kuwait, their expo is December 4th and 5th at Gallery Two.Twenty, Salhiya from 10am to 10pm.
I HIGHLY recommend stopping in!

I liked how dressed down this woman wore hers. Very boho chic. I will PROBABLLLLLLYYYY steal this outfit idea (I warned you all, okay?)

I got this one! BEAUTIFUL!

After the expo, it was time for my husband and I to go out for dinner to celebrate one month of marriage.
I know, I know.
It’s cheesy.
We did it anyway!
And it gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my bisht a little dressed up.
I know, I know.
“But Ascia you just bought it! You couldn’t wait a day to wear it?!”
No, my friends. No.
I’m impatient.
I wore it an hour later.
They were lucky I didn’t walk out of their shop with it on!

Such a badass.

The One with the Maison Martin Margiela x H&M Opening

My husband Ahmad and I attended the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M release at EIGHT IN THE MORNING! Let’s just say we were more than a liiiiiittle bit tired come 2 o’clock later that afternoon.

I like sleep.

But I like fashion more so it’s all good in the hood.

The queue outside wasn’t as bad as it was for other designers capsule collections. I think MMM is a bit edgier and oversized for this region of the world. We appreciate it as art and at runway shows, but I feel it can be hard to make Margiela wearable in the eyes of Arabs.

Can you spot my husband so kindly holding my bright yellow purse? Too sweet!

The H&M PR girls wearing Margiela for H&M from head-to-toe! (I got those heels!)

Yousef, designer of looking crazy amounts of fierce in head-to-toe MMM x H&M!

Smiling Husband!

Yousef being interviewed about the collection

Me looking confused during my interview for the collection!

I bought this clutch as well (in silver)!

Trying on a Margiela coat (and yup! He bought it! Lookin’ fly, Husband)

Happily shopping!

Post-shopping adrenaline rush!
